Hello! My name is Amber. I am 18 and I live in Pittsburgh, PA.
I have been interested in modeling since i was 10 years old.
I always wanted to pursue it, but never really had an idea of what to do.
I hate stereotypes. Such as: models must be atleast 5'10" and weigh 100 pounds. "Models don't eat." It all just makes me laugh. I am about 5'6" and I weigh 121 pounds.
Some of my friends have been offered work, but only if they would be able or willing to lose weight. I think thats disgusting. Whats wrong with not being able to turn sideways and disappear? Shouldn't looking healthy mean something?!
I believe modeling is about embracing the way that you look, and sometimes embellishing it a bit...but you shouldn't have to compromise who you are in order to be considered beautiful.
As far as experience goes...
I have been the subject for some of my friends' photography projects and have been sketched a few times. I would like to do more, but need some help and advice.
I'm interested and willing to work and learn.
