I am a professional singer, specifically Opera. I am looking for professional photos for the photo gallery on my website. I also have a great love of photography and am interested in expanding my knowledge of the field. Because of my performance background I have a keen interest in makeup artistry, costume design and lighting.

Kristin Johnston, Soprano, is equally at home in the realm of opera, operetta, and contemporary composition. Ms. Johnston has performed with The Châteauville Foundation under the baton of Lorin Maazel, Chamber Opera Chicago, Cimarron Circuit Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera Theater, the Contemporary Music Ensemble of Northwestern, Wichita Grand Opera, and Genesis Opera. Past roles include the Queen of the Night, Mademoiselle Warbelwell, Frasquita, Gretel, Yum-Yum, Zerlina, Micaela, Ninetta, Erste Dame, Madeline, the Wise Woman, and Laetitia. Ms. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Oklahoma, Master of Music in Opera from the University of Kansas, and Certificate of Performance from Northwestern University. She has also received significant awards from the Bel Canto Foundation, Friends of Austria, and NATS competitions. Recent engagements include covering Miss Wordsworth under Lorin Maazel, a concert at the Kennedy Center with Lorin Maazel and Marvin Hamlisch, and the revival of her role as Queen of the Night with Opera for the Young. Upcoming performances include Queen of the Night for Elgin Opera, Gretel with Chamber Opera Chicago, and a return to the Châteauville Foundation for the Beggar's Opera.
