Hi!!

I've been photographing for a couple of years now mostly doing live music photography in Melbourne...from local gigs to shooting some of the biggest bands in the world.

I also do promotional shoots with bands and artists. For many musicians this is not their natural environment and find it very embarrassing and awkward being in front of a camera.
This has really helped me in terms of working with people as I need to really work hard with them to make them feel comfortable and really enjoy themselves.
These kind of shoots sometimes can be a lil one sided so when I work with models who are total naturals at what they do it’s an absolute pleasure. Having the creativity bouncing back forth while shooting is awesome.

Ideas/concepts/locations are organised between the model and myself beforehand..just so everyone is clear on what to expect on the day. Having said that I would love to be totally surprised, see what happens and keep on shooting…that’s what I’m use to!

When I’m shooting a national or international band, we only get 10mins to shoot. That’s 10mins to come up with a kick ass gallery with perfect exposure/expression/sharpness, capturing every moment of every band member while juggling unpredictable low light and manic punters, madness!

I would like to do some photo shoots with a variety of models, particularly people with a bit of an edge and interesting features.
Most photos are done on location although i am able to mock up a studio setting for that kind of look.
