There are people who have been gifted with the ability to put into a two dimensional medium a vision they have in their mind's eye with the use of a steady hand, a set of brushes, a canvas and a palate of whatever color medium they prefer....artists as we call them. I've always had pictures in my head and a soundtrack to go along with it but I never could draw well enough to be put in the same pigeon hole as these masters. Then came my digital SLR camera.

As much as I appreciate the moving visuals of terrain and landscapes, I found myself more connected to the landscape of the human body. Its movement, curves, wrinkles, color patches and variety of textures it provides have always found it's way to inspire me. Having an engineering background, I've also found a deep interest in what the human body has created and/or destroyed which is why my photographic style has evolved towards putting people in front of different urban landscapes whether polished or deteriorated. The juxtaposition of the warm and living organic being and the cold tatterd and torn environment has influenced my photography in that direction.

At this moment, I am still in the early stages of my choice of style. There are a lot of experimentation with lighting in different urban environments, outdoors or indoors with a combination of portable strobes. My goal is to find myself mastering the lighting and post-processing techniques so as to find my own "look" with the combination of different technical and organic aspects that will ultimately form the vision I have in my mind's eye in this two-dimentional medium of choice.
