Hello and Welcome to my profile.
I appreciate your time and I value your opinions. Please feel free to say hi, share a thought or provide constructive criticism. I am an amateur photographer but I do take photography very seriously. It is more than just a hobby … it is a creative outlet for me that I enjoy very much. I continue to work on my techniques and styles. The collaborative process of working with others helps me grow. So, when working with others, I appreciate good communication.

I am serious about photography and I hope my portfolio reflects that. I am interested in all styles of photography. I would like to help you achieve your goals while achieving the best possible pictures. If you are interested in working with me, I guarantee you will find me to be professional, courteous, and easy work with. I am reliable and would appreciate the same traits in anyone who wants to work with me. You are welcome to contact any of the models in my portfolio to ask for references. Additionally, I don't mind if you want to bring an escort to our shoot. I want you to feel safe and comfortable for our shoot.

Commitment and Communication:
If you decide to schedule a shoot with me, please be serious about our commitments. I rarely cancel a shoot … it’s take an emergency or an illness for me to cancel. If I ever have to cancel, I promise I will give as much advance notice as possible. Please give me the same consideration. If you have a habit of cancelling shoots, I would prefer to not work with you. If we do schedule a shoot that you have to cancel, I would like as much advance notice as possible. I have a full-time job and a family so my spare time is limited and precious. If you are a no-show for a shoot (that means you don’t tell me that you cancelled), I won’t shoot with you again. If you cancel on very short notice and it is a first shoot, you will have to convince me to try again. I understand that for many models an unpaid photo shoot is a lower priority than some other things, but that does not excuse poor communication and wasting other people’s time. I hope that doesn’t sound too negative … but unfortunately I have had a high cancellation rate, approximately 30% or more.

Compensation:
Most of my shooting is on a trade basis. By that I mean we each work together for free and I will provide edited photos and I can also provide the unedited photos if desired. I usually edit at least 20 photos. I never take more than two weeks to get the photos to you. My photos do not have copywrite markings and you are free to use them as you like. I generally do not ask for release forms. I can if you like but I don’t do anything commercially with the photos. If I ever did want to submit one for publication, I would contact you first for permission.

I will consider compensation for very experienced, creative models with extensive wardrobes. But I don’t pay girls just to take their clothes off … that’s not my thing. 

Schedule:
In general, I prefer to shoot on weekends. Early Saturdays and Sundays are perfect for me. I like shooting in the morning to leave most of the day open for my wife.  Occasionally I can shoot on a weekday … but it would probably be over lunch, 11-1.


Other:
I generally do not have a makeup artist or hair stylist at my shoots. Since most of my shoots are trade and since we live in Colorado Springs, it is hard to find MUAH folks interested in providing support for my shoots. But, there are some folks who have expressed limited interest if I do need support. So, it is not out of the question … just let me know if you are not comfortable doing your own.
