There are many different types of personalities in the world. My dad has taught me to be a very kind, good humored, good listening and charming person. My mom has taught me to have a very strong attitude and supplied me with the outlook on life of high expectations. I have been involved in karate for 12 years now and just began my third year of instructing children of all ages. The key importances in which we teach in this style is respect, discipline and honor. This sport has taught me these three necessities in life as well as a strong attitude of encouragement of any action I take part in throughout life. Karate has taught me to be an excellent leader, a team mate, as well as an excellent worker. It has taught me to have strong yet healthy self esteem as well as to walk and pose with confidence. In my style of karate, we practice the art of GOJU, meaning both the hard and soft form of karate. We use the hard form of Okinawan Japanese straight line fighting as well as the soft form of Chinese Kempo, which involves angular and circular movements. I was also most recently involved in a modern dance class for a semester with a very experienced dance instructor. This talented woman taught me a new art form in which I was unfamiliar with. She has taught me the motions of modern dance as well as ancient African dance motions which involves a great focus on the abdominals. From my experience from both karate and dance I know about poise, balance and the ability to hold poses.
From getting involved in this modeling field, expanding my portfolio, I expect companies to notice me as a young lady with high expectations and high morals and notice that I will work to become a professional and successful model.
