I appreciate everyone who has contacted me through this site and I wish I had time to get back to everyone. If I don't please don't be offended we are just very busy. I also want people to know that we do not do random photo shoots or use models that are non-agency very often. I joined this site in order to meet new potential models not make girlfriends or shoot naked babes, although we always enjoy that last part... and are not prude by any means.

I am primarily hired by ad agencies and in-house marketing depts. who are looking for real people to shoot. You never know what we are looking for, but it doesn't hurt to have a decent portfolio. While I wish I had time to help everyone out with their desires to improve their portfolio this is not what we do. There are plenty of photogs on here looking to add to their books and do comp card work, that is not me unless you are prepared to pay for my team and me.

We shoot with a 40 MP Digital Hasselblad medium format camera with a Phase One back (we also use Canon digital for specific purposes and old polaroid and large format cameras as well). Each file from the Hasselblad camera is nearly 250 MB, so if you want more than jpegs from me, buy and bring a FW hard drive because I am not burning discs or waiting on a slow USB drive and you should know how to handle RAW files and use Capture One or LR for processing. Otherwise, you can wait for the finished product and we try not retouch it to death, I like some blemishes and imperfections, but if it needs some help we give it some help.

We do our shoots typically tethered to a digital workstation that we can take in the field or on location and we set up a lot of Profoto lighting, usually 6-10 lights per shot. I use my Make-up Artists, my stylist, 1 digital tech, and 1 lighting/camera assistant for all jobs and most jobs have triple this amount of crew.

We plan all our work out in advance and we follow it through to the post production and delivery of the work. This is my living not a hobby and I have mouths to feed and mortgages to pay like everyone else.

That said, I do not want to discourage anyone from contacting me or asking me my opinions on the industry. I have had some weird requests and mail on here so try to keep it professional (or flattering!! Ha!) and you are more likely to get a response from me.

I do not shoot fashion often as it has never made me any real money, but I do like to shoot it and I do like to work with beautiful people. If you have a great story or idea or location to shoot and want me to shoot you as a free test, these are the things that will make that happen. It is alot for me to get my team to work for free, but with the right idea or location we can make magic happen.

I am also a director and a union DP and shoot with everything from the Phantom, Red, Arri, Panavision, to the latest DSLR rigs. If you are a musician we shoot music videos and tv commercials
regularly. Please let me know, send me your music you are interested in making a video for so we can listen to it and come up with a treatment. I play multiple instruments and have been in bands in the past so I like everything except bad techno. I may love your song and decide it needs a video despite budget. You never know. The right concept, music, person, talent, etc. has to be there, and if it is something we can feel passionately about we make it happen.
