Born in Bulgaria, Anna was deeply influenced by her life before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 1982, she discovered her potential in photography while working at the Bulgarian Cinematography and Movie Special Effects Studio for five years. In 1991, when Communism lost its hold, Anna determined to leave the country with her then husband and children in search of better economic opportunities for her family. Unfortunately, she left her parents, relatives and friends behind and visits whenever possible.

As a result of those experiences she brings an introspective viewpoint to her photography that is both intimate and provocative. Her work definitively reflects a European flair that is evident in her personal portraits and offbeat landscapes. Anna utilizes her solid background in technology to break conventional boundaries by employing techniques such as layering textures and utilizing High Dynamic Range (HDR) resulting in images that are very reminiscent of paintings.

Upon moving to Orlando she earned her A.A. degree in graphic design and has continued to pursue her photography always updating her skills by learning from leading industry experts such as best-selling author and photographer Bryan Peterson, about the latest technological advances. She has been employed by a large Orlando architectural firm since 2003 providing graphic design services, and further assists in the firm’s commercial photography projects.
