About Me
John Leon, Fashion Designer and Model. Leon has been freelance modeling for 4 years and has been designing and creating women's clothing since 2011. He first began sketching women’s clothing at the very young age of 5.
Leon began to sketch women's clothing without having any understanding that he was beginning a career in fashion design. When he attended 4th grade his artwork was noticed by his teachers. They saw potential in John, and encouraged him to pursue a career in the fashion industry. As years went by he started developing a better understanding of fashion and the industry. Leon then realized that becoming a Fashion Designer would be his ultimate goal in life. By the age of 19, Leon had shown his designs in Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, and premiered his first collection Puncture alongside Shay Sutton, of Scripted Designs, and her Angels and Demons collection in Philadelphia in 2011. Puncture was a perfect fusion of punk sensibility and couture, the two inspirations for his first collection. With this collection he wanted to show his aesthetic, inspired from his personal sense of style. He wanted to make this collection very personal, since it was his first. At the age of 21, Leon premiered his Fall/Winter collection Beauty Killer. The collection was showcased at Atlantic City Fashion Week in September 2013. Leon also got the chance to dress the producer of Atlantic City Fashion Week, Jeana Bowling. Beauty Killer is Inspired by his two favorite designers, Alexander McQueen and Valentino. It's a combination representing the elegant artistry of Valentino (Beauty) and the dark edginess of McQueen (Killer). In 2014, Beauty Killer was published in Fashion Avenue News Magazine and 2 online magazines, Parvenu Magazine and on the cover of Bravura Magazine. That year, Leon dressed Mrs. Pennsylvania Andrea Graham and television commentator Dr. Nina Radcliff. Later, Leon Showcased his new Spring/Summer collection Orchid. The collection was showcased at Atlantic City Fashion Week in September 2014, at their new venue Bally's Hotel and Casino. With Orchid, Leon wanted to bring new light and a new look to the brand, without losing the aesthetic of the label. Today, Leon is working with new and returning clients and on lots of exciting projects, including his much anticipated Bridal collection. _____________________________________________________ My apologies if I have not gotten back to anyone's messages and comments.
