After graduating with her BA in Intercultural Communication and Art from the University of Minnesota, Dara moved to New York City to pursue her dream of making people look and feel beautiful through make-up design working with many prestigious companies such as Chanel, Chantecaille, Viacom Networks, BET Networks, and numerous private clients, brides, celebrities, and non profit organizations.
Dara soon realized that she could combine her love for Photography with her talent of make-up artistry and began shooting models for her own portfolio which quickly landed her first magazine photo spread. Her work has been in Substance & Style, MR, and The Source magazine. Through her love of music she found herself among many up and coming musicians and began to shoot their marketing shots. Dara has expanded her client list to clothing lines, models, actors, pregnancy pre and post, children, family and pets, special events and is venturing into weddings this year.
