Menschen zu portraitieren, das war schon immer ein Reiz. Früher habe ich viele Gesichter gezeichnet, 2006 tauschte ich den Stift gegen eine digitale Spiegelreflexkamera ein. 2007 kaufte ich eine Adox Golf - meine erste Kamera mit Mittelformatrollfilm - für nur einen Euro im Internet. Damals hätte ich nicht im Traum geahnt, dass meine Leidenschaft bald ganz diesem quadratischen Format gehören würde.

In meinen Bildern versuche ich, nicht nur Menschen darzustellen, sondern auch Gefühle und eine Portion Poesie einzufangen.

To portrait people has always excited me. I used to draw pictures of faces, then in 2006 I swapped the pencil for a DSLR camera. In 2007 I bought a used "Adox Golf" camera for a single Euro through the internet: My first Medium Format rollfilm camera! I never expected that my passion would soon be the the square format and the film-based black&white photography.

Taking photos, I not only try to portrait people, but also to capture poetry and emotions of the moment.
