About Me

Let's be clear, I am NOT, nor have I ever claimed to be a "Professional Photographer"... photography is something I love and it is probably my very first kink. I love capturing moments, it is what I am best at!

I have had a camera in my hands since I was strong enough to carry a large format camera... following my old man around from shoot to shoot, wedding, event, and the like as his right hand girl/camera equipment minion, and biggest fan. My old man used to say... "Sweetheart I am not a photographer, I do not take photographs... I am a hunter and I capture moments." He bought me my first camera (a Polaroid) when I was probably 6 or 7, he bought me my point and shoot when I was a preteen, and gifted me one of his hand-me-down Nikon 35mm SLRs in high school. Now all that being said, yes my dad was a pro but he never put me into formal training... he wanted me to find my own way, my own perspective, my own voice. I appreciated that from him although now I wish I had more technical training. Anyways, I have not looked back since... *laughs* after a particularly heavy year of events that myself & my camera were requested to attend and record... I was dubbed "The Photo Nazi" by my friends and peers because no one escaped my lens! *wicked laugh*

These days I shoot with a Nikon DSLR and I only bring my camera along when requested but I always have a small point & shoot or my cell phone camera handy... because let's be honest. Who can plan some of the best moments in life? That being said... I respect everyone's right to NOT be captured on film. So if you don't want to appear in pictures just let me know. I will never be offended by such an honest and simple request... as long as you approach me nicely and not on the defensive. We all have our secrets and I can respect that so don't treat me as a pariah just because I like taking pictures. Mutual respect is key.

Events you have likely seen my work or seen me personally working my tail off:
* Seattle Pride, CSPC Photo Booth & Parade
* SteamCon, Photo Salon
* Steampunk Exhibition Ball, Photo Salon
* SEAF, Photo Salon
* Fetish event held at private homes
* CSPC & FSPC events
* Auto Shows, cruises, and the like
* Lurking in salvage yards, parks, and historic cities
* Steampunk Events, Comic Cons and the like
* Paintball fields in MI, TN, KY & WA
* Military functions & events

I am not one of those photographers who will ask things of her subject(s) that I am not willing to do myself. Yes, that means I occasionally model for other photographers as well. Mainly fetish modeling but if you ask nicely I am willing to do pretty much anything to further the art of another. Personally, I shoot mainly for my own pleasure, for the joy of capturing the moment. I do "work in trade" (my time for your images), and I accept compensation to cover my expenses... I also volunteer my skills whenever time & energy permits. Perhaps one day with more technical training and experience I may turn my photography into a way "to pay the bills" but right now I just enjoy capturing moments, like my Father before me.
