I want more from my life than an average 9 to 5 corporate job. Having completed my college education my family encourages me consistently to focus on working in a corporate setting for well respected companies in Manhattan. At 24 years old I know what I want for myself and my life and its modeling. My family doesnt see it as a career, but I do. My mother on the otherhand encourages it to the fullest. I always said-"I cant be a model I am too short!!" But I am willing to get out there and prove the industry wrong. I know its difficult and greatly competitive booking jobs, but I know I have what it takes. I am willing to travel and do whatever I have to do in order to make my dreams become reality. Ever since I was a little girl I always loved to pose for pictures and would pose in the mirror at the age of 3 in my mothers pearls and heels. Modeling isnt something that I believe you just wakeup and say to yourself Im going to just try it..its not!!! It is something that you have to work very hard at and will come naturally. Not everyone is built to be a model not just physically, but you have to have thick skin for rejection and drive to really go after what you want. What makes me shine from everyone else? its my confidence, determination, enthusiam, good work ethic and most importantly my personality.
From this site I would really like to network and meet different photographers as well as other models. Since I am new to the industry networking and advice for myself is key for my optimum success.
