I've always had an interest in modeling - I attracted attention at the open calls in NYC, consistently being pulled out of line by scouts and brought to the front... But, when it came down to it, the "regular" model folks took one look at my hips and said, "Go see the plus-size people," and the plus-size people looked at my waist and said, "Go see the regular-size people." I didn't fit in.

I've gotten back into modeling recently, sitting for makeup artist and photographer friends... Encouraged by a professional model friend of mine, I decided to join Model Mayhem.

A few things you should know before messaging me:
1) I am not currently in a position to pay photographers for shoots. If and when I am, I will contact you if I am interested in hiring you to help build my portfolio. Thank you for your understanding.

2) I am willing to work in trade (time for photos) if I feel that your project will build diversity in my portfolio. Please don't be offended if I turn you down - It doesn't mean I don't like your work!

3) I love being in front of a camera and I take direction well. I am eager to work in a variety of shoots, love a bit of "edge" and art, and am not afraid of animals or dirt!

4) I am a big fan of having, and keeping, my clothes on. I don't do nudes or partial or implied nudes. Please don't ask.

5) I may be new, but that doesn't mean I am not professional. I expect any photographers I work with to be professional, too. Please be clear about your project, ideas, expectations, compensation, time frames, policies, etc. I will be less inclined to want to work with you if I can't comprehend your message!
