Candace first became interested in makeup her freshman year of high school after seeing a YouTube tutorial for a “natural look.” She quickly became obsessed with watching and learning from these videos. Her makeup skills grew with her passion for the art and others began to notice. People began asking Candace to do their makeup leading this hobby to transform into a career. She has applied makeup for special events such as prom, sweet sixteens, formals and weddings. During high school, Candace found time to work at Sephora to learn about new products and giving her the opportunity to work with different types of skin.

After completing high school she attended the Make-Up Designory’s Multimedia program in the summer and fall of 2012 to expand her expertise. Candace has worked on various photo shoots with professional photographers and models (contracted through agencies including Wilhelmina and Q Management). Candace will be attending esthetician school this coming September. Despite being select for employment at Mac, she had to turn them down as she valued continuing her education. However, she will continue to freelance and work with photographers and models to build her portfolio.
