About Me

American Dominican photographer, Desi Adorn was born and raised in the Bronx and is based out of NYC. She started shooting photography 13 years ago while getting her fine art degree from Herbert Lehman College. This was the beginning of Desi creating herself as a brand.

Desi has had the privilege of working with all sorts of people throughout her career such as  models, actors, dancers,  athletes and singers. Her talent has brought her to work with Future I-Magazine as art director, Hip Hop World Magazine, Dream Magazine, Stiletto Talk Magazine, Got Game Magazine, Signature Hits Magazine, F.E.D.S. Magazine ,with Vodkila Liquor and many others. Desi's first celebrity shoot was with former video model & current rapper Gloria Velez. Desi knew she was well on her way when she got her first international publishing in the Dominican Republic newspaper Periodico Camino, national Circulation  on Monday January 17th, 2010. She has also been able to work with video models such as Elba Everlasting, Ayisha Diaz, Brittany Dasani just to name a few. One of her chances of shooting a big shoot was when she shot the back cover to Nomi from the popular group Jessica 6 mix tape CD when she began her career years back, Tanyka Renee from the Lingerie Football League. Model/Actor Christian Brown, Emmy award winning tap dancer Jason Samuels Smith for his line of tap shoes for Bloch, Vh1 White Rapper Show Misfit Dior , Jennifer Bounagurio from Bad Girls Club Season 6, and DJ of the year DJ N.O.E, and with blogger JosiMarie.

Desi Adorn 's style of photography can be easily detected through her choice of lighting, composition and ability to step out the box even under the simplest sets. This is what she is best known for. Having a background in fine arts since the age of twelve years old has guided her in constructing her visions in a photo shoot. Many of her clients have witnessed her construct a carousel contraption to emulate floating cards, kiddie pools used as cubbies for models, wooden panels, decorative wrapping paper and posters to change plain walls into beautiful dramatic settings.

Desi continues to shoot out of the NYC area and is currently holding the position as in house photographer and Art Director for Future I-magazine and contributor to Street Khemistry Magazine. Her dream is to keep helping the artististic ways of the NYC therefore she can always be found at networking events introducing new studios, art galleries and such. Desi's dream to hold an exhibition of her work at the Bronx Museum of Arts one day . Please visit her contact page for a direct link to where you can keep up with Desi Adorn.
