Hello! I’m Travis!

I picked up a camera shortly before starting high school and have been shooting ever since (7+ years). I’m a goal-driven individual with an acute attention to detail, constantly trying to improve the craft of my photos and taking every opportunity I can to learn from established professional photographers and creatives.

I’m new to the world of working with “model” models, but am excited for the experiences that lie ahead! I hail from an editorial/event background with my photography. While in high school, I shot and wrote for a “for teens, by teens” section in the local newspaper, The Roanoke Times (Roanoke, VA). At the paper, I was lead photographer for my team and had a couple photographs place in a competitions held by the Newspaper Association of America. I have participated in a handful of shows and won a few regional awards. I’ve also sold some of my photographs!

My current strengths are editorial, event, and food photography. I am looking to improve my skills in the studio (product/commercial, food, and working with models). I’ve always been drawn to beauty/glamour shots with creative make-up and subtle, sultry eyes. For years, I have bounced my own ideas for model photo shoots around in my head, but now it is time to bring those ideas to fruition. Once I gain more experience with shooting models, I hope to venture into body paint and nude photography as well, but am nowhere near that level currently.

Also, I am a student, working towards a degree in photography. During my college career, I’ve been focusing on trying every kind of photography I can to gain experience and discover my strengths and weaknesses. I’m reaching my goals and “earning my chops.”
