The Butter Bar really just started out as an ingredient obsession! I had very sensitive skin, and just wanted great smelling bath & body products that didn't have a whole bunch of unnecessary chemicals added in them! I wanted to be able to have the same fun, great smelling, lotions and bath products to use as any other woman my age had, but there just wasn't much of a choice when it came to natural bath products in the "fragrance-department". I eventually found that this was a common problem for many other women who had sensitive skin like me, and they were also seeking to use natural products. When interviewed, most women admitted that they were using medicine-y smelling products that stank! Some women were even down to using baby products that made them smell like...well, babies! This was not acceptable to me. I wanted to remedy that issue for us all!

Once research on all-natural ingredients, and best skincare practices were complete, and just about every all-natural scent and fragrance out there was tried, I went on to test scents on the noses of hundred of women (and their men) to choose our signature line of delicious scents. The most important thing I did though, was, I chose to keep The Butter Bar's products and manufacturing procedures simple and efficient. The Butter Bar was never to be "loaded up". The ingredient list on our product labels are minimal and transparent, so you always know what is in your products. We'll never add a bunch of "fancy crap" in to drive up the cost to you. I just wanted to give beautiful women, beautiful products that you want, love and that work!

Ultimately, The Butter Bar's products are made to look, smell and be 'Good Enough to Eat'!
