Jose Hernandez Jr. was born in Charlotte. He’s a second generation American of Colombian and Dominican heritage. He graduated from Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology. Jose studied Film at Full Sail University in Orlando. He returned to his roots in Charlotte to explore opportunities in the Film and Photography industry. José had quickly incorporated himself into the arts world through participation in local arts events as a way to refine his craft. He has also given back to the community through his pro-bono work to support the local non-profit and philanthropic community. José now resides in Los Angeles, California.

He has worked in freelance projects filming, producing and editing videos for small non-profits. The 2012 Democratic National Convention gave him an opportunity to work as a production assistant for Univision, a national Hispanic network. further exposing him to different aspects of the television industry.
