The Brand
​Matthew Jewson Bodywear is a Men's clothing and underwear brand, started by Matthew Jewson at the astonishing age of 16. The garments are proudly constructed by hand; without the use of any manufacturers or overseas sweatshops - in the heart of the Niagara Region. Matthew designs each item with the idea of comfort on the frontlines; then worries about fashion. No matter how complex or simplistic, anything you put on will provide unparalleled comfort and support. Matthew prides himself in souricing out unique, cutting-edge materials and fabrics who's properties provides customers with a totally unique garment.
The Designer
Born a short distance from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Matthew began sewing at an early age. His mother taught him to sew, as her mother taught her, and her mother before that. All throughout his life there was rarely a doubt that he would be anything but a designer. At 16 Matthew was mentored by ex Canadian designer and renown model agent Geoffrey Chapman. Here he learned the ropes of the fashion industry, met important connections, and was taken under the wing and mentored by Geoffrey. By the time he turned 17, his brand was already well underway. Within his first year of business, Matthew's designs were featured in international menswear blogs, Canadian fashion magazines, and were being used by top stylists in Canada.
