why i want to be a member? i have just recently tured 30, it hits you like a ton of bricks, so a change in career would spice this part of my life up.
I'm an experienced hairstylist and love the work i create, but i need to use the face that my parents so kindly passed down to me, as it won't last for ever.
I tried to enter this industry when i was 17 years old, at that age i didnt have a clue about anything, and all these little companies that charge charge charge, this put me off for years, i still had shots done but boy o boy did i look young, too young and short to do the desired jobs, so i stopped with the idea of being a model.
until recently getting healthy, being in a better state of mind with better securities of funds and living that i have built a confidence that suits my image and its taken a while.
So here i am at model mayhem, ive been recommended by photographers to join as there is so much going on, as i scroll through there is a lot of oppotunities to meet new people and build as a person as well as a model.
I'd like to hopefully see my self grow with a lot more experience within the next couple of years and have a successful wide range of photos in my portfolio, working in various genres, to explore more culture, sceneries and values of life to push boundaries and not just stick at what you do best, to keep learning and discovering.
model mayhem can give me this chance to be in contact with the right people to do just that, to be in the fashion and art, to direct and advise me on the right past, to learn what the client looks for in a model.
It's time to take this seriously, pull up my socks and put the effort and time into something i've so wanted to do, but been so scared to run after it.
