About Me
Before I share anything else, let me say that I'm a professional portrait photographer. I have my own business where I get paid fairly well for what I do. I have had my business since '97 and am a professional. I have a storefront and that's where I normally would do any model session unless discussed otherwise. My business name is Studio Plumeyer and that is what this profile is now called (the old profile name was "the Michael Jason" simply so I could differentiate myself from the families and weddings with my business and that is why there are some images that have "tMJ" logo in my gallery). I am located in downtown New Braunfels, Texas right near the plaza / square.
You should know that if you want me to photograph you, I do have rates. The rates are available upon request. Please note that if I like your look, I might offer to do a TFCD session, but then I'll try to capture my vision, not yours, so it can fit in a part of my portfolio. Usually if I find models on here that I want to work with, I will do a TFP/TFCD session in order to enhance my portfolio for the model photography portion of my business. Any models that I do TFP/TFCD will receive a flash drive (or dropbox, depending on how far away you are) with images (I'll remove any blinks & such) shot during the session, plus at least one retouched image (that I selected for retouching). Let me also say that escorts (the guys or gals who come with the models when going to a photographer that they've never met) are always welcome during one of my sessions / appointments with the models (I would prefer you bring one, personally.) I am not a makeup artist so if you need makeup for your photoshoot that you want to have with me, you either need to find your own or let me know so I can provide some references of local professional makeup artists. Now Here's my tale (bio): I always wanted to do photography when I was in High School, but due to other commitments with either Football, Soccer, or Drama, I was unable to take photography classes. So, when I was in my first semester of college and in the common area of my coed dorm, when I saw one of my friends taking pictures at funky angles, I asked her what she was doing. She replied that she was taking pictures for her photography class. I asked her: "We have photography classes here at Southwest?" (At the time, my university was called: Southwest Texas State University but it is now called: Texas State University.) She replied: "Yeah, we have photography classes here." I asked "where are they?" She said: "In the technology department." I then said "where's that?" To which, she replied: "Over on the other side of campus on the hill." The next semester I took my first photography class and have been doing so ever since. Oh, I opened up my own portrait studio on April 1st, 1997, no foolin. [This was 6 weeks prior to when I walked the stage and received my diploma from SWTSU.] If you have any questions, please ask! :) Verified Credits (0)Worked with Studio Plumeyer? The retouching (I don't know if that's the correct term) or whatever you did made my skin look amazing. Thank you for taking the time to do this for me for free. I value your work & your friendship.
