About Me

I’ve been a photographer for well over 20 plus years (off and on) shooting primarily 35mm and Medium-format up until a few years ago when I started to incorporate Digital cameras. Well about a year ago I finally decided all or nothing and made the ‘Big Push’ to Digital. I am open to shooting whatever my clients desire almost always as long as there needs aren’t too far out of what I’m willing to photograph and put my name on.

Now I’ve decided to up my portfolio and I think starting in the spring and summer of 2017 I will start shooting more models on a more regular basis. I know there are great models out there looking to start their careers and I would love to offer my assistance if they wish and agree to work with me. I have moved several times over the years and across several states and for some of that time my print/paper portfolio was put in storage as well as my film negatives and did not so much survive intact over the years I was not actively shooting Photography full time.

What you will notice about me. I am a professional first, last and everywhere in between. I don’t have a strict personality; I am more laid back and will crack jokes when they pop into my head. I welcome input from both clients and models and 100 percent open communication between us while we are working together as much as possible.

When I haven’t been a photographer I have been an Artist (since bout age 7). Seriously my elementary school Art teacher still talks about me to his current students. My last 2 nieces had him just a few years ago and were shocked, though I don’t know why, when he talked about this beyond gifted student he had way back when who would never be caught without a pencil in his hand and drawings in all his sketchbooks. Then he told them my name and they were, “That’s my uncle!”

I’ve worked with art models and I am used to being around both male and female models that are lacking clothing, this is nothing new to me. That being said I do not and will not touch you ever or come anywhere closer to you than is absolutely necessary in order to get the Photographic Images while we are working together. Please feel free to bring an escort/chaperone with you, I encourage it and will feel more comfortable with you having someone there with you no matter how well or how often we work together.

To be totally honest, I have a bit of OCD which you might find comforting because not that it is to the point where it is debilitating or comical like on Monk on the television show but I don’t like people touching me and conversely I don’t like touching others.

After we reach an initial introduction and decide to meet to discuss maybe shooting some photos together, first we will either chat over the computer or meet in person some place public and talk and discuss what is expected during the photo-shoot session. When we get done our initial conversation we will both have a clear understanding of what types of photos we will be taking, where the photo-shoot will take place approximate time involved, what items will be needed for the shoot, what each of us will be responsible to bring to the photo shoot, what is expected before, during the shoot and what the outcome is expected to be, i.e. the resulting images.

I don't do the traditional 'TFP' as in Time For Print but rather If ‘we’ decide to share our time I am willing to do it as Time For Product ‘TFP’ there will be a model release that we both will sign. We will both share licenses to the photos. These are still ‘your images of you’; when I do work like this I do not sell your images ever. These are still your images and you still have 100 percent ownership of them; you will just be giving me permission to post them as to my portfolio both Digital and Print ‘in house’ and on sites like Instagram, FStoppers.com, Facebook and the like. Obviously Facebook has their own cover-up policy but any images ‘we’ shoot you will let me know what you are comfortable with me posting and how.

I have no interests in profiting off of your image(s) from these types of (TFCD/TFDVD) Time for CD or Time for DVD Photo-sessions. You could also just bring a Jump-drive/Thumb-drive to store the images. I also have no desire to embarrass you in any way, this is why clients & models trust me so completely and ask me to repeatedly shoot them over and over. Please also do not let any photographer pressure you into going any farther than you initially agreed upon or are comfortable with; this is a ‘business relationship’ and should be conducted as such, any photographer who you get this kind of vibe from, run fast and far from and tell every model you know about them. Your image is yours and should be protected as such. I just ask that when you post images I’ve shot that you give me the due credit as the photographer as well as communicating your experience working with me, that's all I ask.

To any individuals willing to help me bring up my Digital Portfolio while I have the need I have no problem offering copies of my photos both straight out of the camera (unedited) the day we shoot (please bring a jump drive with you) and once I do what little fixing / editing will be needed I can and will provide copies of the finished images. As long as it doesn’t cost me money I won’t need to be paid especially if we are assisting each other further both our Portfolios / Careers.

MUA ‘Make-Up Artist’, most models I have shot in the recent past have either been able to handle their own make-up and hair or have brought a chaperon with them and thus also been allowed to provide images for them to boost their portfolios as well. If you do not know anyone I know a few MUA that if available could assist us. Any costs associate with the MUA will be discussed and agreed upon prior to our shoot date; if we are shooting for monetary compensation that will also be agreed upon and in the signed contract prior to the photo-shoot date.

I typically shoot more traditional mainstream photography. I can venture out into Zombie, Gore, Punk, Fetish and Bondage if that is a requirement you have but I am lacking experience in these subjects so if you want and need these types of photos I am willing to participate but you will need to take the lead.
What I’m primarily looking to shoot, what I have need for, both male and female.
Beauty, Portraiture, Glamour, Glamour Portraits, Fashion, Glamour Fashion, Pinup, Hi-Key and Low-Key, Film Noir style (think Sin City), Swimsuit, Fitness, Glamour Lingerie (slightly different from Boudoir), Boudoir and tasteful more artistic nudes or natural nudes and light erotica. I have no interests or experience with Playboy or Men’s magazine style nudes but if that is what you desire, you take the lead and I will assist with my skills as a photographer. I have absolutely no personal desire to shoot spread leg images but if that is something you require for your portfolio that might be able to possibly be arranged but not on our first shoot.

Absolutely off limits are genital close-ups, sex toy, penetration or porn; if you are seeking these please look somewhere else.
