I am an English fine art photographer living in Switzerland.

My artwork has three themes: beauty, simplicity and truth. I search for these everywhere — in my studio, in the streets, and in the landscape; but most of all I search inside my head. When I find these treasures, I make my photographs.

I have chosen to focus my craft on historical materials. I prefer to create my work in-camera on film, and in my darkroom on paper. Spending hours or even days in my darkroom perfecting a print is much more satisfying to me than sitting in front of a computer clicking a mouse. Anyway, the inherent beauty of a handmade platinum/palladium or silver gelatin print far surpasses modern digital media.

My prints feature in collections worldwide.

A typical shoot with me is two to three hours long, but relaxed and slow. Often we will need more than 1 shoot to explore a theme and find the right compositions.

I look for models who have the potential to make beautiful, tasteful photographs. I love working with dancers and yoga practitioners, but I'm happy to work with anyone who has potential. No tattoos or cosmetic surgery please.
