About Me

Hey There,

Nice to e-meet you all. Given that I am quite new to this environment, I will just share my LinkedIN resume:

I am a specialist in predicting and empowering the future of electronic music (techno, deep house, vocal, funky, uplifting trance, electronic acts). I discover talent, provide industry insights and help create branded events.

I consult with electronic music artists (both live set and DJs) and advise them on their vinyl release strategy (which tracks, how to design the packaging, timing). I also work with agencies, managers and record labels to help them select the music styles and artists that will enhance their events with the best music and experience.

I developed an interest in electronic music at the age of 15 and have been obsessed ever since. In 2006, I heard one particular track, “Quicksand” by Marcel Dettmann, It was so strong in rhythm and melody that it felt like a game changer! The artist Marcel Dettmann went on to become an extremely influential techno DJ, releasing multiple albums and singles, and is a resident DJ at the Berghain club in Berlin.

Over time, I noticed that I have an instinct for discovering artists who will be popular. A combination of my deep love for this type of music, and the way I’ve developed my “ear” for beats, vocals, vibe and energy. I’ve carefully watched as my favourite artists have progressed in their career, and the ones I flag, time and time again, make it big – if they get discovered!

However, many others don’t – not for lack of talent, skill or passion – but because they haven’t got the right connections and don’t have an innate sense for marketing themselves. Some of them disappear entirely from the scene – they decide to go in different directions when their music career doesn’t work out. I felt I had to step in, and help artists find their audience. This is why I started Emerging Electronic Music Scene, to bring exposure to undiscovered talent.
