About Me

"i can haz model now?"
Currently working on the next phase of my ongoing art project.. need live models, and the cats have learned to run and hide!

Seriously, I'm back, and doing a total reboot! Contact me to shoot or do art with!

I am a Representational Surrealist;I make the synthetic organic, and the organic synthetic

Aion; photographer/ graphic artist /painter/ sculptor/ musician/ poet based in New York City.

I'm an artist. It's not what I do, it's who I am
I'm a photographer. I shoot film. (remember that?)
I'm a painter.
I'm a sculptor.
I'm a writer.
I'm a poet.

My photography influences my painting influences my sculpture influences my painting influences my photography.....

Beauty is in everything, you just need to learn to see......
I have to wear sunglasses to look on the bright side...

Electrical tape is a fashion accessory.

Everything important in life I learned from my cats.

I don't trust anyone who doesn't like animals.

Tan lines are a sin..

And, yes... I do have 15 cats! (Se7en, Pierre, Pixel Vixen, Patience, Pommeline, Saffron, Omen, Joules, Jicky, Oliver, Bodhi, Paris, Nigel, Dharma, and Milo aka Mosh.)

searching for...
Wardrobe and hair stylists who think outside the box for editorial and art projects...The more out of this world the better!

The secret to some of my images? Rhubarb, baby. Rhubarb
(It makes the "little twists of light" tasty!)

I'm also a professional fashion photographer (http://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=7957 ).
Please contact me for my rates for model portfolios and commercial work.

I am no longer doing TFCD shoots for my artistic stuff. Yes, I will do TFP.... if I have a good concept, I'll usually give you at least 3-5 prints (If not more). I do this so that my original images cannot be edited by anyone other than myself

I shoot film and digital, print the images and then manipulate them using traditional techniques (darkroom, oil paint, acrylics) . The resulting image is then scanned and manipulated further in photoshop if needed. (I've also been known to just paint on the models!)
The images you see in this gallery are a representation of my photography, manipulated images, my art, and my model portfolios. My work is influenced by my everyday observations.
I'm looking for models for book projects and for exhibition purposes. Models must sign a model release.

Currently looking for models (male and female) for assorted projects –
Especially interested in collaborating with models with bizarre wardrobes (latex, leather, whatever), tattoos, funny hair, no hair, pin-up and 20's Hollywood looks, and/or weird talents.
I am not looking for any specific look or type of person.

I like people who are:
Unique
Interesting
Comfortable with who they are as a person
No experience necessary ....
I have my ideas, but am very open to your ideals as well. I like the sessions to be a collaborative effort.
Nudity is NOT a requirement.
Your personal limitations are considered when determining projects and layout.

I shoot mostly real film, and build my own cameras and lenses.

I do not shoot ANYTHING that I wouldn't be proud to have on my own walls, and show off to friends.

Models CANNOT edit any images without my express permission

I HAD to add this, as it's probably the nicest thing anyone's ever said about me:
Dude. You could do some Photoshop for me!  You are a BEAST at Photochop! That being said if you were to take out 2 of the cat shots, the candle, and maybe the "at rest" one. Then Replace them with models from Model Mayhem.  I would challenge you to see what kind of concepts yo would come up with using everyday models and adding your creativity to them.  You could be one  of the most sought after artist on here if you could pull it off.  Everyone is looking for something different in there port.  Why shouldn't it be your work!  So in the words of J.Z. "SHOW EM WHAT CHA GOT!"

Digital Poster Prints

Digital Poster Prints are laser imaged onto true RA4 process photographic paper and presented with a border ready for framing in the most commonly available ready-made frame sizes. This option represents the most economical and accessible way to acquire high quality reproductions of my images.

The Fine Art Signature Collection
The Fine Art Signature Collection is printed on the highest quality Hahnemuehle Fine Art Rag Paper on large format Epson Inkjet Printers with archival pigment inks and rated, conservatively, to retain their full quality for over 100 years. The whole process is rigorously colour and quality controlled and each print is signed by the artist on the back only after passing the most stringent inspection for print and reproduction quality. They are, therefore, priced accordingly and are presented with a small border to facilitate matting and custom framing.
