I’ve been interested in all things fashion since I was a child. Growing up adopted into an all white family, I looked to media to see people like myself— examples of those I could aspire to. I found Naomi and Tyra. I’ve wanted to be a model ever since. My mother didn’t approve of the “lifestyle” so beyond photo shoots with friends, I wasn’t able to pursue modeling until later in life. After some time and several life changes, I started working with a photographer in Austin, Texas to build a amateur portfolio. Most of my experience is from styling and modeling in photo shoots on a TFP basis with photographers who are trying to build their portfolios as well. Dabbling in acting and video work, I’ve also played a lead role in a music video for an up-and-coming artist out of Texas. I’m on Model Mayhem to because I want to transition into the professional realm. I’d like to work on bigger productions, gain more studio experience, and try new modeling styles. I would love the opportunity to work with professionals to grow my skills and learn more about the industry. I’m hoping by having made the move to New York City, the epicenter of fashion and modeling, I can dive into this beautiful, artistic community.
