2008 marks the year that I am stepping out from being an amateur and attempting to earn approximately 5% of my full-time salary as a photographer. My primary goal through MM is to develop a useable portfolio. My secondary goal is to expand my array of lighting techniques and learn to work with models in pre-visualizing a shot and collaborating to achieve it.

Given my current objectives in moving from amateur to professional, I am seeking to work with models interested in TFP / CD work. I will not shoot nude or even risqué images. Swim suits and tasteful lingerie are perfectly acceptable. While I have invested in home studio equipment, I have made sure that my gear is highly portable making on-site locations possible as well. I will immediately deliver all images via CD/DVD from a session and work together to identify suitable images for post-processing / production. I welcome any opportunities to include prints in addition to CD / DVDs in an effort to expand my output workflow.

I've discovered that I enjoy photographing people far more than I do either creative or product photography. I feel that the magic all happens on the "other  side” of the lens by means of what the subject brings - I am just the guy who sets the lights for maximum effect and presses the shutter release.

My full-time job has afforded me the opportunity to fund photography as a hobby. While it means that I do not get to shoot as often as I would like, it does mean that I have the luxury of not starving.
