Tobias Batz’s work, a hybrid of fashion photography and street art, is a respectful celebration of the female form. It reflects the urban landscape of New York City and its inhabitants. His cutting edge use of  photography, body painting and experimental methods of digital processing pays homage to Warhol, Fellini, Man Ray, Mick Rock and edgy fashion photographers Sante D'Orazio, Helmut Newton, Dave LaChapelle,  and the King...Richard Avedon.




In 2010 and 2011 he was a finalist on the ARTAQ Street Art Awards and featured in the ARTAQ Urban Arts 2010 and 2011 Book. In 2011 his work will be included in the Artaq tour exhibiting in Angers, Berlin and Paris and Brussels. His solo show, Urban Scrawl was shown at the S.P.A.C.E. Gallery in August, 2010. You can check out his September, 2010 online interview with Art Hash at arthash.blogspot.com. YRB Magazine featured a two-page spread of his Kush Hoodie in 2008. He recent exhibitions include the Tribeca Lounge , Lyons Wier Gallery, The Chelsea Hotel ,Gallery 151’s Wu-Tang brand art show and the ARTAQ urban art festival.
