I've been taking photos for years, mostly as a hobby. These days I've concentrated on landscapes although I used to do portraiture several years ago. I'm also dabbling in astro-photography.  Most of the astrophotography can be found on my facebook page.  Still learning Photoshop, at the moment just experimenting to see what happens.

I'm hoping to gain useful local contacts that can help me update my portfolio and maybe learn more to improve my work. In this regard, I'd like to thank Brian Livingston (#385458) for organising the shoots I've been on recently.  However, I have to admit I'm a bit shy, especially with people I don't know, so I can be rather nervous at shoots.  If you feel you need an escort, I have no problem with that.

I'll shoot most subjects, except nudes as I personally don't feel comfortable doing them. I prefer to keep my pictures PG rated. I also like science fiction, and fantasy roleplaying, so I like to shoot pictures that have the SF/fantasy theme. I hope to shoot some that can be used as character portraits for RPGs.  I've photographed at nearly all the SF Natcons in New Zealand as well as three SF Worldcons and a GenCon, especially during the costume parades.

Nearly all my gear is Nikon, I'm currently using a digital D90 although I still sometimes use the Nikon F801 to shoot transparencies and also have an Olympus 1030SW for underwater shooting.
