Jim Starks, Jr. is regarded as among the best emerging Fine Art and Fitness Photographers in the United States.  Formally trained at Otis College of Art and Design in Southern California.  Training, instruction and continuing education with Photography Master Classes have been completed through various  work shops and seminars to refine craft. Refining skills in softhware applications to enhance photographic and artistic vision.  Jim Starks, Jr. Photographs have been on exhibition in galleries in the following cities and States: Long Beach, Los Angels, Palm Springs, Norwalk,Valencia and Venice, California; Alexandria, VA.; and Houston, Texas.  Goals continue to be  working with Creative and driven Models, Fitness Models,  Actors, Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Photo Wizards. Artistic vision from Model Mayhem members will be a definite Plus.  I will consider a very select amount of TFPs and TFCDs from Model Mayhem subscribers assignments for a limited time. Fine Art/ Creative Nudes, Fitness and Body Form for figure studies are given priority for shoots and may be selected for book and Gallery Exhibitions.  A standard "Model Release" will be available for review and discussion as part of the  photography production planning process. All paid solicitations and trades (TFP/ TFCD) will require a signed Model Release Prior to Shooting.In case you are wondering, no form of nudity is expected at a shoot, unless agreed beforehand. I have No interest in creating pornography.

TFCD/TFP
While I am selective about who I shoot on a TFCD/TFP basis, I am always interested in meeting  and interviewing new models who would like to be considered for TFCD/TFP shoots. If you would like to be considered for an upcoming TFCD/TFP shoot.  You will be asked to complete a model data form when I meet with you. I am only looking for dedicated, hard-working models who want to do GREAT ART!

If we shoot TFP/TFCD -DVD  you can expect to receive your images within three weeks.  Typically you can expect to receive 5 or 6 images that will be edited to the standard you see in my portfolio. You MUST PROVIDE RELIABLE CONTACT, Email or mailing information.
I keep my Photo shoots relaxed and want them to be informative and highly productive for all concerned.

Security and safety are paramount. I am also more than happy for Chaperones to attend Photo shoots with my Clients/Models if notice is given in advance with security deposit. Leading up to the shoot I want everyone involved in the pre-planning and during the shoot itself, I never forget that my Clients//Models are the most important element of the shoot, without them I would not achieve an end product.

As far as friend request, I don't really mind them but please introduce yourself. I’m here for Business Only (connecting with agents, talent scouts, other talented models and photographers). I’m not here to flirt or hook up with anyone, Please respect my demands and maintain a professional attitude when contacting me. I am very respectful of all individuals.
• ALL Clients ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN A RELEASE FORM.
• I DO NOT photograph anyone under 18 years of age without Parents or Guardians  PRESENT FOR THE ENTIRE SHOOT.
• I DO NOT allow on lookers during any photo session.
• Clients must have I.D. to prove age.

I am accepting extremely limited trade work, only if your look suits one of my personal projects, I will contact you.  If you are wondering what kinds of models I am looking for,  I am mostly interested in  model who have a desire to collaborate and work hard. I have several artistic and fantasy styled  projects at this time.

FYI  I prefer NOT to reschedule no-shows and/or last minute cancellations. My time is very limited, Studio Costs, Staff are Expensive and my work is very competitive. If you miss the shoot for any reason, PLEASE Call or Email me with an explanation.  If you don't plan to make the shoot, please don't schedule to work with me  in the first place.

* Say what you mean and mean what you say; don't assume, ask.
* Only authorized personnel are allowed to be on the set/ location; handle equipment, adjust  props, etc.
