May 21, 2023 1:10am Down the hall from the studio was a guitar maker, and I offered him image copies that he could use in his mail posts in exchange for 10 examples for the evening. As for our model I told her the this part of the shoot would have 10 very different instruments, and we would pull a random one at a time, and she would change her wardrobe best she could and we would do a quick shoot. It was an exercise in making something out of nothing and overall the shots came out great. black background, one blue strobe and one green with twill hanging down. all just a flow. Then we moved to a femme fatale theme.
My goals were not to do what everyone else does. First rule of photography, find your voice/style/look what ever you want to call it... so we simply winged it...

how many times have I seen an MM image of a guitar performer... but this one has a new take...
