About Me

I am a serious amateur but I work to professional standards. (I say 'amateur' as I seem to spend more on photography than I receive, so perhaps semi-pro is better!). Images have been published and I have sold work too. I use the moniker 'oldbloke' because, basically, that is what I am.

I live near Newbury, West Berks, U.K. and travel within the country is no problem for me. I have some favourite local studios but alas don't have my own studio. I like working on location (always allowing for the vaguaries of the English weather) and in natural light. I work to get a 'picture' ('work of art' might be a little pretentious) as I see my photography as my 'art'.

I have worked with experienced professional models and with new, aspiring models and in truth would love to work with any model, especially my 'friends' on MM who'd like to work with me.
