This is a creative photography group that offers a variety of sessions with different locations and concepts to photographers looking for growth and content creation opportunities with amazing professional model talent to produce evocative new images for your portfolio. I have been a photographer for two decades and now I am helping others learn and build their portfolios too!

Bio:
I am a female photographer born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I have experience within many various styles of photography and I am always determined about creating excellent imagery. I have been a serious shooter since 2003. My photography is an artistic style that I have cultivated and developed over many years. I do not like to rush the process of capturing great imagery. I do like to make people feel at ease and do not push people to be something they are not. In addition to working with many models, I have done many shoots for portraits, events, weddings, brand & portfolio development, florists, designers, musicians and more. I also do landscape, adventure & travel photography for enjoyment as well.

~GENERAL INFO FOR MODELS TO PLEASE READ~

Shiva is always open to finding new talent to collaborate on creative artworks or editorials in the coming months and no experience is required only a personality that offers professionalism.

Shiva is generally involved with ALL concepts & styling work collaborated with models during production. This is represented throughout my portfolio, otherwise I always give credit to the designer involved within any collaborations.

I work very well with models of all different levels of experience. All my models work within their comfort level! In general I am 80% of the time always an on location photographer. My style preference is to be in a real environment, whether outdoors or indoors as studio white or black backdrops become very visually boring to me and lack the adventure and advantages to on location imagery.  Yes, I can shoot with you in a studio with advanced scheduling. I do have access to using a handful of industry affiliated studios around the Bay Area. On the other hand I am always looking for those willing to help me with suggesting new locations that we could possibly utilize. So please let me know if you can offer any indoor or outdoor location recommendations. I love discovering odd/new places to have as a shoot location. Of course I am also capable of networking my own studio and ample outdoor sites, but it is always nice when someone offers ideas for this too, because they might think of something or know of places I haven't thought of exploring yet








I AM OPEN TO LIMITED TF collaborations for Summer 2023
I have become selective about the models that I will take the time to TF mostly because I often have very limited time in my schedule, but I am always open to someone reaching out to me because they like my work and would like to schedule a TF with me!

Please send me a DM if you are interested in modeling for me.

If I have made initial contact with you then I am likely offering a TF assignment because I think your look would create something amazing in front of my lens. Most models I have contacted have wanted to work with me as they view the quality of my work and assignment ideas as something that is worthwhile and would benefit their modeling portfolio.

I supply only the finalist images, retouched and in high resolution for portfolio usage, as well as maybe 15-20 more extra unedited originals for you to have as keep sakes. This is also depending on # of concepts, locations or outfits we shoot, etc. I believe in the mutual value of collaboration so I truly supply to you just AS much AS I would expect to receive if I had been modeling.

~Models asking for Paid Assignments~ Models are paid when I have paying clients, workshops and/or on rare occasions when a model is traveling and has a very professional book/look that fits one of my current personal projects ~  I do not pay models when we are doing a collaborative session that we both use to our benefit ~ I have long standing professional relationships and rarely as an artist can afford to pay ongoing model fees as I am on a limited annual budget. I have had poor experiences in the past models, so I seriously vet talent before any initial booking. Good attitude can go a long ways with me if you are looking to become one of my regular muses, especially for my ongoing workshops, editorials or fine art nude projects. As a retired model you will find me to be very supportive and understanding to collaborate with on any assignment.

If you are looking for portfolio development, updating your content or have a specific concept you want to capture I would love to assist you in accomplishing your goals. Whether you are  looking for portraits sessions or are a model, a makeup artist or hair stylist, clothing brand or couture designer, jeweler or accessories or other independent business that needs to start or update your product imagery for marketing or web content, please email me at [email protected] to inquire about scheduling and details.

Prices vary per booking depending on involvement to achieve concept, production, hiring a stylist team, location rentals, travel and retouching services, etc. Service fees start at $250 for a 2 hour session and $450 for half day and up to $800+ for full day sessions, not including studio fees. If we are shooting for your benefit please do not ask me for a trade. My rates are very reasonable and can be discussed. Please inquire for a quote on your request. A non-refundable 30% deposit fee is required for reserving my time and will likely need to be scheduled 30 days in advance, at certain points in the years sometimes there is a 90 day wait time.
