Vasily Ovchinnikov is a young director (29 y.o.) from Moscow, Russia.

Vasily has been working as an art-director in global advertising agencies for almost 7 years. He has been working for clients such as: Beirsdorf (Nivea), Mondelez (TUC), KFC, BMW, MINI, Barclays, Marlboro. During this period he collaborated with many directors around the world. This experience has given him the opportunity to learn and use the best practise. As a result he shaped and developed his very personal and unique style of direction.

For now Vasily decided to devote himself to director’s career. His directing is made of shades and suggestions that only the tension of the cinematography can give. That is why he often does the lights and the camera work on his own and reaches a mood that goes further from acting and following the music video.

His strength is definitely to translate emotions with images and to create a deep and unique look - sometimes by going against the conventions of film language and rules, trying to invent new ones.

As the music video director he has worked with major music labels: Armada Music, Shogun Audio and many artists around the wold.
