Greetings, my name is Lester Bailey Jr. I wanted to give you a brief background about myself as a person and that will consist of my personal, educational, career and goals background. In this brief summary I will expand on why I’m a stylist.

Originally I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I’ve always been surrounded in fashion and great parents that always expressed themselves as artist. My mother was a full time educator and in her spare time as an artist painting and a certified nail technician. She always expressed when working on her creations, she always stated that you must begin with a pattern in order to make your concept complete. My Father was into ceramics, making vases, dishes, bowls and putting his own unique touch to each creation which none were ever duplicated. With these great figures it hard for the influence not to rub off on myself as a person.

As a child, I found myself always taking my cousins dolls and creating different looks to make them look better in my eye. When she would come home she would say that the items didn’t go together. In my eye, they did. My parents kept me in nice clothing, but not always name brand. They taught me the value of having clothing that looked nice and put together well, without relying on the brand. I took that advice which stuck with me and had my own unique style. Soon my friends gravitated to me asking where my unique style came from. I would tell them that it was all in my mind and I just put it together. Before I knew it, I was styling my friends wardrobe, following with fashion shows and later creating my own business My Closet, L.L.C.

I attended Morgan State University where I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Journalism. Not quite the direction I wanted to go in but I figured once I break into the fashion industry I could be a Fashion Editor or Columnist. I always envisioned myself going to Fashion Week sitting next to the designers commenting on what’s hot for the next season and what’s not. What better direction could I take than working as a stylist to break into the industry and create various looks for upcoming artist for there photo shoots.

With my educational, personal and stylish background, I created My Closet L.L.C. My Closet, L.L.C.(Lavish=Life+Clothing) is a company that focuses on image consulting that begins with the flow of creative thinking and making fashion concepts come to life. It is a work of art that only one with a creative mind can execute apparel to make a statement. Each look is different, meaning it is fitted for a certain individual. My Closet, L.L.C., provides all types of consultation from garments, make-up, hair and accessories for its clients. The My Closet, L.L.C. stylist is very detailed with each creation and never leaves a client unsatisfied.
