I am an amateur / semi-professional (part time) photographer. I have taken several classes at the School of Visual Arts in NYC as well as figure studies at a local museum. I've worked one-on-one with several models, as well as portrait photography and weddings and events. As a young photographer, my goal was to shock and create disturbing images. A few years ago I decided that it's much more challenging to capture and display beauty than it is simply shock my viewers. Now, I feel like I want to take my photography to the next level -- to show beauty in a more complex way that gets people to think about what this really means. I'm not interested fetish or bondage photography, but I do want to create work that is provocative, and so I'm looking for models who are not shy about taking chances. For example, I love photographs of the human figure that appear abstract and on first glance look like a desert landscape. I'd love to do more of this kind of work, as well as combining images of the human form with multimedia and possibly post-shoot digital manipulation.
