With his first pictures taken as early as the tender age of 16, Cima has always worked with his instincts to transcribe his vision with elegance.
His work is definitely geared towards modernity. The references to punk (marqué à Vie), baroque (tableau de chasse, sans queue ni tete) or XXth century French photography (fingers and toes, la femme au parapluie) are mere excuses for Cima to tackle a more global ambition of being the active witness of the human's modern quest for limitless money, sex and power.
Although some shots seem purely esthetic (Waiting, Victoire, Big Yap) compared to the more prvocative material (Marie, Scar) there is a global homogenous aura to the work presented in this gallery, something like a tug o war between decadance and hedonism.
