I started taking photos at 17 with a Canon EOS1000, buying rolls of negatives every week. I started photography because I was inspired by the beautiful landscapes in north Normandy, where I was born and raised.

Some 20 years and 5 cameras later, the art of photography has changed dramatically for me. Firstly, I focus primarily on portraits now, due to its more personal aspects. Interacting with my subjects allows me to bring out the various facets of their personalities and to capture these images for eternity.

Secondly, composition and perfect lighting is as important as ever, but now technology permeates every area of a photographer’s life. From computerized studio lighting to post-processing, these tools help the photographer to get the best out of a good picture.

Yes, photography is now a High Tech Art, but still an art nonetheless and each image is as reflective of the subject as of the photographer. I would like to think that my images embodies the combination of technical perfection and artistic flair. I hope you enjoy my portraits as much as I have enjoyed taking them.
