About Me

I'm an up and coming photoghapher that has been taking photos for years as a hobby and finally decided to really do something with this talent. I'm a full time retail supervisor who wants to open his own studio. I have traveled halfway around the world and have seen many things that helps me in my shooting style. I love doing what I do but along with everything else there are some rules that I ask you to follow:

1. Please be on time. If we have an agreement, please consider my time. I love my photography but my other job pays the bills and I must work my photography around that.

2. I don't mind you bringing a friend or support system but they must not interfere with MY shoot. I have an idea of what I want in my head,....if they envision something different,..they need to pick up a camera and start shooting. Along with that,....I don't do this to pick up women, so if they are there for insurance,......... let them sit there and be insurance.

Other than those two little rules,....I am outgoing, funny, witty and very easy to work with, but I am a professional.

I was recently scrolling through the streets of Model Mayhem and stumbled onto this and it spoke volumes as to what I am going through right now. So to know that I am not the only one going through this struggle,.....I will push on:

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.”
