About Me

I am an energetic person and love to bring that energy to a shoot. In a session, I spend time to get a feel for the type of lighting that will enhance the subject's mood. We then work to create photos bringing you out of the picture and into the viewer's mind.

I easily give direction, but enjoy a collaborative style over just telling a model to sit this way and look that way. I hate the "dead model in the rubble" look so be prepared to act alive and bring your energy for me to capture.

I hope I never reach the point in my career where I always put the light in this location and the subject in that and then click the shutter. I love to experiment.

Models:
If you have a portfolio of cell phone or amateurish shots, I will probably want to be paid to help with your portfolio. Ask anyway if you have a creative idea, location, or are engaging the services of a make up artist and hairstylist.

Models willing to invest time to develop creative thoughts, find make up artists, style hair, and thoughtfully select quality photographers to work with will definitely be moved to the front of my list of who I want to work with.

Current projects involve

- Boxing/sports theme
- Heavy photoshop manipulation for fantasy work
- A couple projects for gallery exhibits

My Rules of Why I Always Attend a Shoot -- TF or Paid is No Difference
================================================

1) I understand that everyone else in the shoot may have had new/better/more profitable opportunities arise, but I would be letting them down if I don't show.

2) I am not the only one that spent an hour packing their shoot kit with essentials before driving to the location

3) My word is my word and a promise is a promise

4) I know that if I don't show, I just wasted their time getting ready, driving to the shoot, time they sat wondering if I was running late, time they spent talking about what a flake I am, and their time going back home, their time putting stuff away, and the money they lost because of gas, and lost opportunity elsewhere.

5) I like the feeling of being able to look everyone in the eye and not have to avoid certain people because I let them down.
