About Me

At the age of 6 my Aunt gave me a Kodak 110 camera and lots of film as a Christmas gift, I then spent that Christmas blinding all my relatives when I would pop up in front of them, camera at arms length (no body had taught me the concept of a view finder yet) and thrust it towards my unsuspecting victim's face. I loved how the stark flash filled the room for that split second and would laugh as they staggered about trying to regain their vision... That's my first solid memory of my photographic life, none of the images turned out of course, and the other reels were binned eventually. But that didn't matter because I was already hooked! To me it was all just so much fun, and that is my first thought when I come to think of photography and the reason I still love it today!

I took that Kodak 110 everywhere with me, whether there was film in it or not, I used to walk down the street looking only through the view finder. What can I say? I guess I was a bit of an odd child maybe - or maybe not?

Anyway, from that day forward my interest in photography only ever increased, my bedroom walls were covered in torn out pictures from news papers and magazines. I eventually went onto study photography at the local college when I was 16 and gained my diploma when I was 18.

I have always taken pictures for as long as I can remember, of everything and anything that caught my eye. When I went onto study Fine Art naturally photography was my medium.

Now my days of playing about with photography have come to a cross roads - It's now time for me to take what I do seriously and stop just having fun with it. That was my new year’s resolution this year.

I've been in many directions within the photographic world, working at weddings, night clubs, children, and various other events, magazine work, food and products etc... Now I'm going to be combining everything I know and moving into the fashion/glamour/editorial worlds.

Which brings me to why I'm on MM.
Like a lot of people on here, I'm here to network my a** off. I'll be looking to meet new makeup artist's and models as well as other photographers who might be interested in doing some collaboration works. Who knows, there seems to be an endless supply of opportunity’s on here for everyone to come together and make things happen.

Ultimately we all want have fantastic books, and I'm no exception. I'm a trained artist with a keen eye for colour and detail; I love beauty and all of its freaky/edgy cousins! I'm the same with fashion, freaky + edgy = beauty.

This is going on and on too much now, I'm such a waffler!
I'll edit it down eventually, maybe even bullet point it.

If you've read this far then you must be interested, so for what ever reason, contact me. I look forward to seeing how this all pans out and I'm especially looking forward to the people who I'll meet along the way of MM life!
