Hello, my name is Scotty Beland. I am the owner of my own freelance photography company called sb.imagery specializing in advertising and portrait photography.

I began my career in the Washington, DC area after graduating from the Art Institute of Washington in Arlington, Virginia where I graduated with a BFA in Photographic Imaging in December 2010. I was fortunate enough to work with many actors and models in the area, mostly doing headshot and beauty work, in addition to commissions from some of the DC area theatres and dance companies.

My style has a very refined, urban feel to it... usually favoring a fairly natural look. I have an extensive background in theatre and generally use my experiences as inspiration for shoots, whether it be the appearance of the model or the overall feel of the image itself.

I do not do this as a hobby... I am a professional. That being said I do offer test shoots and TFP shoot occassionally, depending on how passionate I am about a project.
