About Me

September 17, 2013
Another update in my growing portfolio. More experiences in this field. I feel I have some great new work to add. I continue working with great new people as well as continuing to work with some truly great models. Such as Sabrina Sin. I hope you enjoy the latest works.

December 11, 2011
Well then, I finally have some new work together. This has been a great learning experience. Even after 30 years working as a photographer, there's still more to learn, great experiences to be had and challenges to overcome.
But, since first putting my portfolio here on Model Mayhem, I've met a lot of great people and feel like huge strides have been made.
So, thanks for taking a look at my work. Please leave comments. I appreciate the exchange.
I want to thank all that have connected with me here on MM as friends. I REALLY appreciate the models, wardrobe, hair and MU artists that have been part of my projects. I know it has been a leap of faith and I always hope everyone is satisfied and we have some fun along the way as well.
I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with models such as Sabrina Sin, Avana Bloo and Dana Blue. I've learned a lot from them and hope to continue working with them and enjoying the real friendships we've developed.
I have several projects going all the time. I'm wrapping up my absinthe series. There are still several  shoots that have to be realized but, following my consultant's advice, I am now looking to apply my approach to other spirits.
This will give me a chance to shoot images set in the 30s, 40s and 50s. I think the first of the new series will be rum. Cuba in the 50s is an obvious starting point. I'm really looking forward to it.
All this does not mean I'm not open or seeking to do other, more contemporary work.
Since my last (and only) profile update, I've had my first solo exhibit of my work in New Orleans last summer (2010). The show then traveled to Austin and is currently on display here, in Houston. I've had my work featured in In the Mix, Mutineer, Imbibe and Sinical magazine (a new direction for me).
I began my career shooting a lot editorial assignments. As I was able to get more commercial work, I realize now I abandoned working for publications. this is something I am hoping to correct. One of my hopes here is get back into editorial and am very open to doing work for magazine publication.
So, I'm looking forward to new work, more great people and bigger and better projects.
Thanks for visiting my page,
Damian

This was my first profile update in March, 2008...

I've been shooting professionally for over 25 years. Mainly commercial photography. My main client throughout my career has been a major manufacturer of guitars and drums. So, a lot of my work has been involved with the music industry. In the last few years, I've had the opportunity to shoot more conceptual images and hope to pursue more of that type of work.
When I first started shooting, I shot a lot of editorial work and I try to carry a bit of that style into my current work.
My goal here is to find models that want to work with me to achieve some great images.
