My name is Jimmie Sue Balko; named after my Father. I am an actress, model, entrepreneur and mom. I shortened my name to Jimisu when I started modeling at age 49. I just turned 70!  I have many years’ experience in the television, film, print and advertising industries.

I worked as a spokesperson for many prominent businesses and have appeared in movies, commercials, talk shows, calendars, billboards and print ads. I am very proud to be the former Mrs. Houston Galaxy Pageant - Mrs. Clear Lake.

As with anyone I feel charity is monumental in our daily walk so my heart is extended to helping families pay for adoption fees & spay/neutering their pets. Our mission at Jimisu and her Beauties ... Promote Women & Save our Fur Babies.

I call Houston, TX home where I share my life with my husband, Doug and my two rescue fur babies, Cupid & Blitzen. I have a wonderful son, Paul Sanford who married his true love, Elise and my grandson, Gage. I love that he calls me Granny!

As you see, my endeavors span quite a variety. I have hosted a national television show called H2oh! which concentrated on coastal living & outdoor sports, with an emphasis on new product placement.

I am very excited to have had the opportunity to work as one of the Producers and Host  of Houston's Hottest TV show and to bring the message to everyone that Houston has a lot to offer for everyone!

We are not concentrating all our effort on our latest project, "What's Next Houston?" a lifestyle TV show all about Houston.

I hope you take from this, that it’ never too late to achieve your dream. When I was a teen, I went to my first modeling agency and he told me I was too short! I picked up my little portfolio and left with my tail between my legs and didn’t dare try to model…until, at age 49, decided to give my dream one last try. I went straight to the moon and am still achieving goals I never thought possible at my age. So…L’Oreal, Cover Girl & Dove, I’m here, ready and waiting to be your spokes model to represent all women of age!
