About Me

Giselle Claudino was born in the Northeast of Brazil in 1980. She comes from a nice tropical city called Joao Pessoa in the State of Paraiba, an incredibly beautiful and cultural place with about 800,000 habitants. Part of a very traditional family, Giselle Claudino was raised among her two brothers and sister in a environment plenty of love and strong family ties. A family full of energy, energy inherited by the mother Auxiliadora Braga who is responsible for running the business of the family, a fifteen year old bicycle store called Tulio Bicicletas. In 2002, after years of work in the family store’s marketing department, Giselle graduated in Communication and started to work in a local TV Channel. She instantly transformed the way of fashion on live television, making simple items of any wardrobe become fashion statements. Giselle’s talent was soon recognized all around town and in media business and then she got an opportunity to work for this other known TV channel, TV CORREIO- RECORD Brazil. Shortly after those projects happened, the channel she was working for invited her to be the main reporter for the daily variety show called “Mulher Demais”, and also “Salto Alto” aired on Saturdays. Her career in Brazil was a life changing experience, revealing how work can be gratifying and fun at the same time. She became locally famous for her appearances in several commercials and that was just the beginning. Noticing that Giselle had this high and great energy, the producer and director of the local shows of “Tv Correio channel” soon sent her to do the outdoors’ job. She was the reporter doing the coverage live of the carnival in the Northeast of Brazil, having access to interview all the Brazilian celebrities in the top of the “Trios eletricos”, (truck equipped with high power sound system and music used mostly for carrying the bands playing during carnival and big other party events) . Giselle was also sent to do another fun job, the coverage of the behind the scenes of the fashion show in her city. None of this was her biggest challenge. “promoting merchandise on live TV everyday was very challenging, it took a lot of me, but it couldn’t have been better for my career, made me grow a lot as a professional”, says Giselle about her experience on the daily live show “CORREIO VERDADE”. “The best part of all these years working on Television in Brazil was when I got finally invited to host a show where I was not going to be the reporter, but the Host, the show was called Paraiba Fashion Week, about runway and fashion”, “It was a dream coming true”. Says her. After this, nothing else could stop Giselle of going further. She wanted to become a TV personality nation wide. That’s how her journey starts in Los Angeles. As her dreams were coming true, they’re also becoming bigger, noticing her potential Giselle’s family decided to help her reach higher grounds in the entertainment business, so in 2004 she moved to Los Angeles, leaving her comfortable and fun life in Brazil behind and embracing all the risks to achieve her goals in another country. Learning another language, taking on camera, acting and broadcasting classes, Giselle wanted to improve her skills and be ready to compete and get a place in the international market. Right after 9 months living in Los Angeles Giselle was dreaming in getting back to work, and get her on-camera job back in track, and in the right time she got an opportunity through school to start an internship program. “FJ PRODUCTIONS”, was the Brazilian production company that gave Giselle the great tips about how to work for TV in LA. Giselle works with them until today. She achieved her biggest TV goals after coming to Los Angeles. Becoming the reporter correspondent for “ TV FAMA” in Los Angeles was Giselle’s first national appearance. “ I couldn’t believe I was in Hollywood interviewing all those big celebrities and being aired nationally in Brazil”, “the red carpets and movie premieres are just a unique experience.” (Giselle) So far Giselle has concluded the Broadcasting Journalism course at UCLA Extension, and now she is already taking a new program with focus in Acting for Film and Television. “I think the more we learn, the better we get, I must know a bit of everything in order to survive in this competitive entertainment industry.” Says Giselle about her new step with the acting program. She is definitely a non-stop person, her goal after the acting program is to study fashion design and make her other dreams come true: “I want to be able to design my own T-shirt line since I have this many ideas going on for long time, then launch in the market my hand made tees”. Los Angeles became her home for now but Brazil is still her favorite place in the world because of her family, the most important thing in life for her. Giselle is talented, creative, versatile and ambitious and these are key to success.
