About Me

Professional muse and model since 2006.

[email protected]

I am a burlesque perfomer, so naturally I enjoy doing vintage inspired assignments, and pinups. I love doing nudes and lingerie. I do NOT normally do TFPs, but am sometimes willing to do them if I can use the work for my own promotional purposes. I LOVE to travel, and am willing to go anywhere in the world to shoot, given my travel is paid. I have a lot of fun at my shoots, and am very creative. I usually do all my own hair and makeup, as well as styling, but of course enjoy having it done for me too! I often bring a lot of options for costumes/clothing/props, and am generally open to however the photographer likes to shoot. I follow direction well, and can go with the flow. Please feel free to email if you have any questions! Thanks!!

OFFICIAL BIO:
Known as “The Cherokee Seductress,” Tomahawk Tassels is a burlesque performer, model, and professional muse. Her Native American-inspired performances have pushed the envelope on cultural appropriation. With over 10 years of burlesque and modeling experience, Tomahawk has earned International recognition as an indigenous provocateur. She began her burlesque career in St. Louis in 2006, performing weekly in the premier downtown burlesque show "The Alley Cat Revue.” She has been featured as an American representative in The London Burlesque Festival 2009, as well as a featured performer in the First Annual New Orleans Burlesque Festival. She has graced the covers of several motorcycle magazines, worked nationally as a muse for artists, and taught burlesque classes for over 7 years. She was a featured cast member of Minnesota Television Network's "Freaky Deaky," a live psychedelic public access television show for 2 years. Then Tomahawk Tassels was seen on NBC's "America's Got Talent," Season 6, in which she flirts with celebrity judge Howie Mandel and surprises the live audience with her confidence.  In 2010 Tomahawk began producing a monthly bar-top burlesque and rock n roll show, combining live music with a naughtier striptease experience. In January of 2013 she received criticism from members of the Native American community who were offended by her burlesque acts, and after a protest against her, she suspended her Native-influenced performances. Tomahawk wrote a blog about “Culture and Controversy” and continues to explore the multifaceted and sensitive topics she is known to express through her performance art. She was once Queen of the Mermaids in the Mermaid Cove at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and has lived in New Orleans on and off for the last 7 years. Having recently moved back to New Orleans, Tomahawk currently performs with the female rapper Boyfriend, dances as a Nocturnal Mermette with trip-hop band Sea Battle, gogo dances, and is a muse for several New Orleans artists.
