Searching for purpose, meaning and a deeper wisdom through visual art has been a lifelong pursuit. I don't care for pictures that are just pretty. I look for emotion and truth that can only be portrayed through images of genuine expression. I am not strictly a photographer. I use my images as a jumping off point to explore basic themes of the human condition. I montage imagery, text and illustration to achieve these goals through digital, oil and graphic mediums.

When working with a model, I want nothing but truth. Our relationship must become one based on trust and empathy. I need to understand the feelings I see through the lens. I need to connect.
