About Me

ABOUT MY WORK/PHOTOGRAPHY:

My source of creating was due to a great amount of dissatisfaction in reality, distrust in society and my unknown identity. When I was a young poet, I tried to blur the lines by showering my prose with anger and fear. And of course I found no resolution in this. One day I encountered photographs in the book “Let Truth be the Prejudice by W. Eugene Smith. I often recall the images of the stories, not the words. Each of his photographs is captivating, showing life through a photographer’s eye. This discovery was a turning point in my life. I realized that photography was the medium of truth, used to break boundaries and borders of prejudice in the world. Even if I do not know the peoples’ names, their lives have been captured in time and we know they exist. The photograph is the evidence. We are all solitary travelers with our own destiny and path for greatness. And yet we may cross paths at some point, greeting and bidding farewell to friends who will go their own way. I want to photograph not only the path and their passing moment, but also the hopes of the nameless travelers stepping into their future.
