About Me

Todd Marshall-Closson is a fine art portraitist, who engages in a collaborative and interactive approach in creating an image of an individual.

"Portraits tend to be stories of strangers," so Todd Marshall-Closson strives to create images a viewer’s heart can feel, even after their eyes are closed.

Graduating in 2007 with a degree in Digital Art, from the University of Alaska. Todd has continued to work on expanding his oeuvre of fine art portraits. "Because of my presence, regardless of the situation, I can never truly capture a portrait as it is. However, I do not want to expressly create a historically accurate image. I have evolved into creating something that may reflect the reality of the moment, but is separated by my specific intention. The photograph itself is only a two-dimensional object; an object viewed and judged differently every time it is seen, therefore it separates itself even further from reality."

Nearly anyone can learn the technical fundamentals of photography. A good eye for photography is something harder to develop and depends a lot on natural talent. Yet, transitioning from a budding photographer to the professional market takes a combination of hard work, keen business sense, drive, and determination to succeed. I am excited about photography, I am motivated and I can inspire my models.

I really want to break into the fashion industry, I am willing to shoot TFCD for almost anyone, almost anytime! Want to practice your modeling or make-up techniques? Email me!

Photography is about referrals and your reputation, if you don't have that you don't have anything. I don't do anything to endanger that and if you want to know more about me feel free to contact me for references for any of the models I have shot.

Lastly, I should speak a few words about Escorts since the question often arises. I am generalizing here, but you don't go to work with your boyfriend do you? How many work places out there have a regular bring your significant other to work day policy? Heck most places don't even want you calling them from work, because they distract you from your work. So think about how we feel about you wanting to bring them to our job.

If you feel the need to bring an escort to a first time shoot with a photographer, that is fine, bring a girlfriend or a gay friend, or something, it is the first time you are meeting them and a lot of photographers work out of their houses, which can be creepy for people you don't know. Still pick someone who will sit back and relax and not distract you or break the concentration of the model or the photographer. Family members can be fine, but time and again boyfriends and the soon to be married always tend to distract in a negative way. Please, realize that most photographers feel this way and plan accordingly.
